This Privacy Policy describes how Bails Sports Innovations Private Limited and its affiliates collect, use, share, protect or otherwise process your personal data through our platform bails.in. By using the platform you expressly agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy.
Collection
We collect personal data when you use our platform, such as name, date of birth, address, mobile number, email ID and any information shared as proof of identity or address. Sensitive personal data (bank/card information, biometric data) may be collected with your explicit consent. Never share your PIN, OTP or net-banking password with anyone claiming to be BAILS.
Information We Collect in the App
Account details: name, email, phone number, date of birth, gender and username. Profile details: photo, bio, sports and interests, and for sports professionals their services, experience, certificates, identity documents for verification, and bank or UPI details for payouts. Location: your approximate or precise location, only if you allow it, to show nearby professionals, games and venues. Content you create: messages, reviews, job posts, games and communities, AI Sports Diary entries, AI chats and voice input. Bookings and payments: booking details and payment status. Card and UPI details are handled by PhonePe and are not stored by us. Device and usage data: device identifiers, push notification token, app interactions, and crash and performance reports.
AI Features and Service Providers
Ask NISHH.AI, AI search, the AI Sports Diary, AI writing helpers and voice input use third-party AI services. When you use them, the text or voice you provide, and related details such as your sport, city, bookings, profile and diary entries, are sent to Google (Gemini) for text and to Sarvam for speech-to-text and text-to-speech, so they can produce a response. These providers process the data under their own terms and privacy policies. AI responses can be wrong, so please check important details, and avoid entering passwords, bank or card details or other sensitive information.
Other Service Providers
We use trusted providers to run BAILS: Supabase and Vercel (database, authentication, file storage and hosting), PhonePe (payments), Mapbox and Google Places (maps and place search), Pushwoosh (push notifications), PostHog (product analytics), Sentry (crash and error reporting) and Meta (advertising measurement). They process data on our behalf, and some of their servers are located outside India.
Advertising and Tracking
We use the Meta SDK to measure which of our ads lead to installs and bookings. On iPhone, this uses your advertising identifier only if you allow tracking when asked. You can change this at any time in your device settings. We do not sell your personal data.
Children and Minors
BAILS is open to people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13, and will delete it if we learn we have. If you are under 18, you must use BAILS with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for your use of the Platform. A parent or guardian can contact us to review or delete a minor's data.
Your Choices
You can turn off location, camera, microphone and notification access at any time in your device settings, and the rest of BAILS will keep working. You can edit your profile, delete your account from Settings, or write to the Grievance Officer to withdraw consent or ask about your data.
Usage
We use your personal data to provide and improve the services you request: including handling bookings, enhancing your experience, resolving disputes, informing you about offers and updates, customising your experience, detecting fraud, and enforcing our terms and conditions.
Sharing
We may share your data internally within our group entities and with third-party service providers (logistics partners, payment processors, reward programs). We may disclose data to government agencies or law enforcement if required by law.
Security Precautions
We adopt reasonable security practices to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss or misuse. We use secure servers and adhere to our security guidelines. You are responsible for protecting your account login credentials.
Data Deletion & Retention
You can delete your account from your profile settings. When you do, your account is immediately removed from the app: you're signed out and no longer visible to other users. We keep your data for 90 days after your request, solely so that logging back in during that window restores your account and everything in it. If you don't log back in within 90 days, your personal information (name, contact details, photos, bank details, and similar) is permanently deleted. Records we're required to keep for legal, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes may be retained in anonymised form beyond this period.
Your Rights
You may access, rectify, and update your personal data directly through the functionalities on the platform.
Consent
By using the platform or providing your information, you consent to the collection, use, and processing of your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You may withdraw consent by contacting the Grievance Officer.
